THE CRUISE HOUSE
Casa do Cruzeiro was owned and home of a local family for many decades. With the emigration of the children to more or less distant lands, the house was abandoned for 8 years. Acquired in 2011 by the current owner, it was recovered in a project coordinated by the architect Luís Peixoto. Keeping and recovering the original design, contemporary elements have been added to allow for greater comfort and elegance. The project was awarded, being the cover of the prestigious reference book " Portuguese restored houses "; was mentioned in the newspaper Expresso as one of the best examples of the preservation of national heritage and elected as one of the "100 best houses of 2018" by Archdaily . Its "little houses" were once again a prominent feature of Casa do Cruzeiro, in 2022, by this architecture website.
Now equipped with a 12x4 meter swimming pool and an olive grove, among other improvements, it is increasingly "your private paradise".
